Nada
7/2- Falmouth, ME
Well today we did a whole lot of nothing. We tackled some boat chores in the morning but after that nada. It was one of these not super hot but humid days where you just feel heavier. It was hard to get fired up to do anything.
One interesting thing about this place is that there is a ton of boat traffic. Our mooring is on the front row next to the main fairway and only a couple of hundred yards from the fuel dock. There are boats of all kinds buzzing by here all day long. The next several days should really be interesting with the long holiday weekend.
The launches are constantly tooling by us as with over a thousand boats here storing dinghies would be almost impossible. The launches rides are fun and you get to meet all kinds of people. We just get on them and tell the driver to do his rounds so we can have a boat ride.
Another interesting thing is looking out over the mooring field at night and with over a thousand boats here I only see one or two anchor lights. I know you are not required to have one here but it seems strange to see this many boats dark.
I want to wish all my faithful readers a safe and happy holiday.
