Cars

 3/17- Vero Beach

Happy St Patrick’s day to all. It was very hot and muggy here today. It was all we could do to get off the settee. The wind has completely died off here tonight and I’m sure the humidity is hovering around 100%.

We went to a car show yesterday and as I told you previously there were all kinds of beautiful cars there. Well it turns out that is not the only place to find amazing autos. Just walking around in the parking lot for Publix and I can see Ferrari’s , Alfa Romeo’s, Peugeots, lots of Land Rovers and even the occasional Rolls.  I have seen more Ferraris in one day here than the whole rest of my life combined. It’s just amazing the amount of money here that people spend on cars. That doesn’t even include some of the less expensive luxury cars like Lexus and BMW. That does not even begin to cover pickup trucks. There some incredibly tricked out trucks around here. I guess it’s easier to maintain a vehicle here than in the great frozen north. The roads are certainly full of cars as there is traffic everywhere.

Another thing I have been noticing is that some of the trees are shedding their leaves. In some places it looks like fall. The live oaks are shedding like crazy now as the new leaves push out the old ones.

It’s also pollen season now. I clean off the solar panels in the morning and the water that comes off is green with pollen. Folks who park their cars under the live oaks get a whole new layer added to their car. In some cases it is hard to see through the windshield.

I don’t want to seem like I’m complaining too much here. It’s still better than the snow and mud back home. And I’m on a boat on the ocean ….
