Wind
8/24- Rockland ME
The wind tied us to our boat all day today. It started out mellow but soon was blowing hard and the harbor was quite choppy. We settled in and did some boat chores.
We have been making a list of all the projects we would like to do in the off season. Some of these are not possible to do when the boat is in the water. Others would need tools like table saw or drill press. But there were several that could be accomplished while we sat here.
I repaired the grated stool in the cockpit that Alayne continues to use as a trampoline. I knocked off a couple of other smaller projects in between naps.
The wind blew hard most of the day and the clouds scudded briskly along until they started to pile up over Camden. Eventually they leaked out to sea and the skies cleared. We were mostly protected from any wave action due to the southwesterly direction of the wind. It wasn’t a bad ride at all.
